At around 1:30 am Memphis’ breathing tube was removed, and while he is very fussy, he is breathing just fine on his own. He is still hooked up to a pacemaker as he is still suffering from heart block. I was in the room with him when the cardiologist most recently tried Memphis’ heart without the pacemaker, and while he still required it, he noted that he has shown improvement.

Memphis is incredibly strong, and has been recovering very well. The timeline is still uncertain, but we have the utmost faith in him.

Lots of love,

I’m so happy to hear that he’s doing well. Way to be strong with him. :)

So far so good! Glad he’s breathing on his own, that really is a big step. And the pacemaker will be removed soon, it takes a while for things to go back to normal in there.

Hope you and Alexis are holding up well, Staying in the hospital bites, I remember doing it when my friend Becca went in for her surgery, hopefully things will continue to go according to plan.

    Hi Vince!

I am so happy that things are moving in the right direction. Your son is sooo cute! I’m praying for all of you!
